Vitamins E and C Supplementation in Japanese Quail: Effects on Growth Performance and Biochemical and Haematological Parameters

ABSTRACT The effects of vitamins E and C supplementation on growth performance biochemical haematological parameters Japanese quail were studied. A total 360 one-day-old female quails randomly allocated to nine dietary treatment groups (10 birds per replicate 4 replicates treatment), including a control (basal diet) the basal diet supplemented with: 250 or 500 mg/kg vitamin C, E, both C. Vitamin improved productive raised blood plasma levels protein, thyroid-stimulating hormone, calcium phosphorus, while decreased those glucose, uric acid, creatinine triglycerides, as well lowered activities aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase alkaline phosphatase. Leukocyte count heterophil lymphocyte ratio red cell increased in groups. results obtained support that simultaneous with has greater positive performance, metabolism indicators than their separately, which turn shows improvements over absence supplementation.
